Zimmer Biomet VasoPress DVT Pump propels the venous blood out of the deep veins while the patient is undergoing surgical procedures or is immobile for an extended period of time.
The Vascular Compression Therapy products are designed to reduce the risk of blood clots associated with deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
The VasoPress® Digital Mini with Timer stores and displays the days, hours, and minutes therapy is administered to the patient, providing evidence of compliance that the clinician can use to ensure their patients receive the recommended therapy to reduce their risk for DVT and potentially make further treatment decisions.
How the System Works
The VasoPress pump produces automatically timed cycles of compressed air that force blood out of the deep veins helping to prevent stasis. A burst of air is delivered to the garment that is wrapped around either the thigh, calf, or foot. A selection of garments is available depending on the type of surgical procedure and the clinician’s preference.
